İSTAB is a non-governmental organization established in 1992 by service owners

. In the following years, İSTAB, which aims to provide social solidarity of the aimed employees in the foundation years, has paid attention to the studies that it has done on behalf of the sector in the following years. In the following years, İstab, which aims to reduce the unfair competition among the transportation companies, The Board of Directors has also been a member of the ITO Municipal Human Transport Committee and its members, members of the Turkish Road Transport Assembly established at TOBB, and a strong institution that the Ministry of Transport and the MoNE, MoN, and other government departments have taken into consideration.

Established in 1992 with 9 members, İstab has 350 active members. When it comes to 2017, the sector addressed by Istab provides a living of close to 50.000 families. Considering the indirect employment created within the sector, it is a source of income for close to 200.000 individuals.

When we refer to sectoral analysis; The service sector provides about 1,050,000 people every day in Istanbul. The service sector in İstanbul is 5 million km every day and 1.320.000.000 km per year. In other words, the services circulate around the world every day, 125 times, 33,000 times a year. In İstanbul, the average daily fuel consumed by the services is 700.000, 184.800.000 per year. The annual output of the sector is about 1 billion dollars
